I hope Jack Dorsey's vision for an open Twitter, if that's what they're working on at Bluesky, doesn't try, yet again to reinvent RSS. We can accomodate them of course, our stuff works with all the formats that have come along thinking they were going to wipe out RSS, but
software evolution just doesn't work that way. Jack could do something much crerating a new federated Twitter, he could show how to be go with the grain instead of against it, and the geniuses always do (said sarcastically). Reinvent as little as possible, preserving the investment we've already made, and making the world of tomorrow as simple as possible, so more can be developed on it. Even someone as rich and successful as Jack is accountable to the rules of evolution, I've seen so many huge egos try to ingore RSS, it doesn't work.
